If you’re out and about in LA, you may soon see more of the Eye of the Tiger singer Katy Perry. That’s because the pop star has recently purchased a 5-bedroom home in the area, paying nearly $19 million for her new digs in the Coldwater Canyon locale.

At just under 5,500 square feet, Perry’s privacy will likely be very well-guarded, though, as the home is accessed by a quarter-mile long driveway that is surrounded by lush green (and well-landscaped) space.

Former owner, Cody Leibel – the son of the Canadian developer Lorne Leibel – will likely capture a nice profit on the home’s sale, as he reportedly purchased it about a decade ago for just over $9 million.

This isn’t Perry’s first Southern California real estate purchase. Back in 2013, the singer bought two adjoining homes in Los Angeles / Hollywood Hills for a cumulative price of roughly $11.2 million.

One of these was a 4,000 square foot, 3.95 acre abode that was formerly owned by Aileen Getty, the oil heiress, for $8.2 million, and the other was a more mod spread that she obtained for the other $3 million. In return, Perry listed her New York City penthouse, as well as her compound in LA (purchased for $6.5 million in 2011 with her former husband, Russell Brand) that she never resided in.
