CHEVIOT HILLS FEATURES

Founded in 1924, Cheviot Hills is an affluent westside community of Los Angeles, centrally located yet extremely private. Cheviot Hills is bordered by Century City to the North, Beverlywood and Castle Heights to the East and Culver City to the South.

Originally established due to it’s close and convenient proximity to both the Fox and Sony (originally MGM) studios, this gorgeous neighborhood has served as backdrop for countless film and television productions, notably Modern Family, The Goldbergs, The Ropers and Laurel and Hardy movies. Stan Laurel (of Laurel and Hardy) was also a resident of the neighborhood and several Hollywood luminaries chose to live in Cheviot Hills, too. Lucille Ball, Michelle Phillips, Buster Keaton, Jonah Hill, Travis Barker, Former California governor Pete Wilson and literary icon Ray Bradbury are just a handful of celebrities who called Cheviot Hills home.

Overland and Castle Heights are both award winning neighborhood elementary schools that feed into Palms Middle School and Hamilton High School. Cheviot Hills is also close to dozens of popular private schools. A stone’s throw to terrific shops and restaurants, the Westside Pavillion and movie theaters, Rancho Park Golf Course and Recreation Center, Hillcrest Country Club, the Beverly Hills Tennis Club, and Irving Schachter Park, there is certainly no shortage of fun activities to explore nearby. In fact, Redfin named Cheviot Hills the USA’s “hottest” neighborhood in 2014, and the “hottest” neighborhood in LA for 2015.
