Still working his way through another bitter divorce, actor Johnny Depp has listed for sale all of his downtown penthouses – five to be exact – in the much sought after Eastern Columbia Building, which is situated in one of L.A.’s most recognized areas.
This once under-utilized office building has, for roughly the past decade, been the home of 147 residences, once the structure underwent some extensive renovation (to the tune of $80 million) – including updated terra cotta and masonry, window restoration, the addition of a rooftop pool, outdoor fireplace, and fitness center, and even the re-awakening of the structure’s iconic clock.
While two of Depp’s dwellings here sold almost immediately, his “Penthouse 2” is still seeking a buyer. The nearly 2,300 square foot loft offers two bedrooms and three baths, as well as some unique custom light fixtures, an open kitchen, and direct access to the building’s sky deck above. The high, nearly floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room offer fantastic views of across the L.A. skyline.
This penthouse is currently listed at just under $2.5M – although the seller many consider various offers, as due to his recent financial perils of late, he could be open to a quick sale. Private tours can be arranged for interested buyers.
