Just north of Sunset in Beverly Hills, the founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, has inked a deal on a property that backs up to a home he already owns. The purchase price on the new estate – just shy of $13 million.

Initially constructed in the mid-1950s, this new Bezos abode offers approximately 4,600 square feet of living space, and it includes four bedrooms, six full baths, a formal living and dining room, and two fireplaces on the interior, along with an outdoor pool and a lovely patio for entertaining. There is also a motor court, which provides plenty of room for parking numerous vehicles.

According to reports, the multi-billionaire’s newest purchase was not yet listed in the MLS (Multiple Listing Service). Although many may consider it a bargain, though, as his current adjoining residence was purchased for just under $25 million back in 2007.

When Bezos’ two properties in the area are combined, his total domain will consist of roughly 2.5 acres in total – which in turn, offers additional privacy – along with the secure, gated entrances facing the street. Or in tech terms, Bezos now has an added more “firewall” protection.

Owning more than 80 million shares of the company he founded, Jeff Bezos currently has an estimated net worth in the neighborhood of $85 billion – which ranks him as one of the wealthiest people worldwide.
