The TV producer Ryan Murphy has finally sold his compound in Laguna Beach for $10.65 million. The home was first listed in early 2018 for $18.75 million, so this is quite the discount.

In 2005 Murphy acquired part of the property for just under $4.5 million and bought an adjacent parcel in 2007 for under $3 million. He then went on to combine the two parcels. He hired Mark Singer, a well-known architect, to completely redesign the compound. The finished home is featured in Architectural Digest. Go give it a look!

Murphy told AD that [he] “wanted to nest, to create a weekend getaway for my growing family,” and that “The idea was to make both houses steel and glass, and the gardens modernist but bold and odd (like much of my work, I have been told).”

The home sits along a green hillside with breathtaking views of the ocean. The property includes a 5,000 square foot main house and a two bedroom guesthouse.

The single story home is made up of four bedrooms, an open floor plan and floor to ceiling windows throughout.

Kevin Augunas and Chris Cortazzo of Compass were the listing agents.
